It seems like only yesterday
Your laughter filled the air
Displacing clouds of anger,
Filling hearts with cheer.

But now your laugh is silenced
The air seems cold and still
For now yesterday's memories of you
On today's thoughts we must build.

We will often stop to wonder

His Journey's Just Begun... ...

Don’t think of him as gone away,
his journey’s just begun.
Life holds so many facets,
this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting,
from the sorrows and the tears,
in a place of warmth and comfort,
where there are no days and years.

Think how he must be wishing,
that we could know today,
how nothing but our sadness,
can really pass away.

And think of him as living,
in the hearts of those he touched ...
For nothing loved is ever lost

Since Heaven has become your home
I sometimes feel I'm so alone;
and though we now are far apart
you hold a big piece of my heart.

I never knew how much I'd grieve
when it was time for you to leave,
or just how much my heart would ache
from that one fragment you would take.

God lets this tender hole remain
reminding me we'll meet again,
and one day all the pain will cease
when He restores this missing piece

He'll turn to joy my every tear
and when I wear this necklace near
it will become my simple way
to treasure our Reunion Day.
